Canyon River Ranch, a residential development just south of Ellensburg, offers the perfect setting for viewing the night sky. Our client requested a fully functioning observatory connected to their detached garage. Challenge accepted! Considerations during the design development were maintaining the thirty-five-foot height limit, and the slope of the roof pitch, which had to be accurately calculated to be below the rotation ring. This would allow the observatory to easily rotate. Mission accomplished. More photos to follow as the project progresses.
